Rob Arthur, a founding partner and director at Entertainment Solution Services Ltd. (ESS), has over thirty years of leadership experience in the cinema sector both in the UK and internationally. His career encompasses senior roles at major organizations such as Apollo Cinemas; Vue Entertainment, Warner Village Cinemas, and Curzon Cinemas, among others.
Based in the U.K., Rob’s extensive know-how covers a vast range of geographies, emphasizing the business development of Out of Home Entertainment in diverse markets across EMEA; the GCC; Central Asia (including Kazakhstan) and Taiwan.
Rob is a regular contributor on matters relating to the cinema market in the trade and broadcast media particularly the BBC.
In addition to his business development leadership, Rob offers his skills to various consultancy projects, which have significantly contributed to their success. His strategic advice on these projects is well-documented through comprehensive case studies.
Rob is deeply involved in numerous industry initiatives. He holds positions such as Advisor to the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). He co-founded the CJCinemaSummit and the Emerging Cinema Markets conference in Istanbul, Turkey.
His commitment to cinema and entertainment is further evidenced by his memberships in prestigious bodies including BAFTA and the UK's Leisure Property Forum.

Heike Wolkerstorfer, Founding Partner & Director at Entertainment Solution Services Ltd. (ESS), has over 25 years of diverse experience in film exhibition, distribution, research, strategy reporting, and production.
Heike's career journey has taken her through organisations such as UGC Cinemas, Virgin Cinemas, Cineworld Cinemas, Apollo Cinemas, Tartan Films and Twentieth Century Fox to name a few.
Her extensive expertise encompasses crafting commercial strategies and overseeing operational management, catering to both independent sectors and major studios.
Throughout her consultancy endeavours, Heike has contributed her expertise to numerous impactful projects, collaborating with various entities across sectors.
Her meticulous market research spans regions including the UK, Germany, the UAE, KSA, and Sub-Saharan Africa, showcasing her global perspective and strategic acumen.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Heike has dedicated six years to making a meaningful impact in Sub-Saharan Africa. Collaborating with agencies such as UNICEF, UNIDO, EU and government ministries, she focused on developing awareness-raising and behavioural change campaigns, demonstrating her commitment to social impact and community development.
Recognized for her expertise, Heike is an appointed Specialist Advisor to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
Both, Heike & Rob are passionate advocates for animal welfare.
